♥ A little back story on this very neat and collectible suit…:
During WWII, John Gantner had worked with the inventors of day-glo (Bob and Joe Switzer) to incorporate their invention into textiles and fabrics for wartime use. After the war, the technology was developed for the garment market and patents were filed in 1947. This line of swimsuits is the first piece of clothing for the commercial market to come out of those patents, and is from the first season of “Glo-Suits”. Essentially, this swimsuit puts into effect the first day-glo technology for clothes!
